The Santa Cruz Blur 4 C 29 GX AXS is built for speed without extra effort. The Superlight suspension system is so light that most riders carry more weight in their back pockets after the start than in their frame. Yet, the bike doesn't feel "too racey" or nervous; power transfer is direct, control is maintained, and climbing feels almost unnaturally smooth. The frame is 289 grams lighter than the previous generation, and you immediately notice that when you pick up the pace or tackle a long climb.
While many ultralight XC racers fall into the "fine if things don't go wrong" category, the Blur remains refreshingly practical. Two bottle cages in the main frame mean you don't have to choose between thirst or performance. Standard assembly without strange, proprietary parts means you won't suddenly be stranded somewhere in the Alps because only one obscure bolt fits. Santa Cruz supports that confidence with a lifetime warranty and direct rider support. The carbon frame is light, but certainly not fragile. Just a bike you can train, race, and suffer with without any hassle.
For those still wondering which version suits them: the standard Blur is optimized for pure XC efficiency, while the TR variant offers a bit more travel and grip for rougher trails. The chainstays grow with each frame size so that the geometry is right for every rider, and a chain guide is standard so your pursuers can look for the chain, not you. This is not a show model and no "downcountry marketing talk": it is a serious race bike that is capable of rearranging your PRs, final classifications, and perhaps also your ego.

Once again a good experience. Ordered a Sram Code RS brake set. Delivered quickly, unfortunately the handlebar clamps were forgotten but delivered without issues afterwards. Also the MMX.

Today, after some Googling, I went to Woest for new running shoes. I've been running in Asics Nimbus for over 20 years, and now, after a tip from a colleague, I decided to try Hoka. I was perfectly helped by the staff.....
