Cervélo Caledonia-5 Rival AXS 2026

At the intersection of cycling and triathlon, sports already focused on endurance, there are athletes who push their bodies and their equipment to the absolute limit. Ultra-distances, but ultra-fast. We call these Big, Stupid Rides, and since the introduction of the Caledonia in 2020, athletes around the world have been exploring just how big and how stupid those rides can be. These athletes choose the Caledonia-5. This bike is built for high-speed, long-distance racing, with a fit and handling geared for comfort, but without compromising on the Cervelo race bike feel.

For the new Caledonia-5, we focused on improvements that make sense for the people who push it to its limits. Most notably is the addition of in-frame storage, first seen in the P-Series. It's not designed to store a burrito – there's only space for a small multitool, an inner tube, and a CO2 cartridge. Next, we looked at comfort: the seatstays have been lowered, similar to the Aspero, making the rear triangle sharper and more vertically compliant. At the same time, the down tube is slightly stiffer to maintain the professional responsiveness Caledonia is known for. You can still fit large tires (36mm) and every bike comes with fender mounts.
