This cassette, which refines the performance of the R8100 series, introduces Shimano's revolutionary Hyperglide+ system. Hyperglide+ guarantees unprecedented smooth shifting when both upshifting and downshifting, even under heavy load and during acceleration. This significantly reduces shifting time and ensures a more stable cadence, essential for top competition.

The construction of the CS-R8101 focuses on stiffness, minimal inertia, and durability. The larger sprockets are mounted on a lightweight aluminum spider, which reduces weight and maintains stiffness for efficient power transfer. The cassette uses two aluminum sprockets and durable steel for the other cogs, ensuring excellent longevity without compromising performance.
