At Fast Forward, they discovered a trend due to the increasing demand for wheels also suitable for use on light gravel. They immediately began developing a unique and special gravel wheelset. With durability as the main specification in mind, they carefully designed and built the rim with only the best possible components.
Durability and agility for the best gravel rides!
While weight is normally one of the most interesting specifications, they chose a different approach when producing their gravel wheels. Weight is important but should not come at the expense of durability and agility. For the DRIFT, this was even more important, as they have to withstand everything they encounter on gravel paths. This is reflected, for example, in the DT Swiss Aerocomp spokes and brass nipples. The thicker spokes offer more stiffness, are more durable and can take a beating.
Choose the hubs that suit you!
You can choose between the new high-quality FFWD hubs or the DT240 EXP hubs. The FFWD hubs are designed with the 2:1 spoke pattern (double the number of spokes on the critical side), also feature ratchet drive and large bearings for extra durability. The DT Swiss 240 hubs have an improved EXP ratchet system. The hub components offer even higher precision with fast engagement, more stiffness combined with a lower weight.
Hookless for tubeless!
The new hookless rim has an internal width of 24 mm, suitable only for tubeless tires. A special carbon layup was chosen to absorb significant shocks when riding with low tire pressure on rougher gravel.
It is suitable for a wide range of tires from 30mm to 60mm.
The wheelset weighs only 1,515 grams.
