The world is changing with wider tires and new rim profiles, which requires a different approach to aerodynamics. With this knowledge in mind, the new FFWD rim profile LAW Tech was developed as the basis for the new FFWD RAW. LAW is short for 'Laminar Airflow Wing' and has been specifically developed to deliver better aerodynamics when using wider tires by creating a smooth airflow. Testing multiple lay-ups and set-ups has led to the optimal combination of stiffness, aerodynamics and weight that you would expect in a wheelset like this.

Details make the design

As important as aerodynamics is, it's the combination of multiple factors that makes a top model earn its stars. The RAW stands out by using internal nipples and the new DT Swiss 180 EXP hubs. These have SINC ceramic bearings that reduce rolling resistance to an absolute minimum and increase durability. The use of only the best high-end components contributes to the low weight of this wheelset, which weighs only 1,420 grams.
