The Shimano K05S-RX Resin brake pads are the much-improved successors to the well-known K02S and K03S models. Shimano has renewed the composition of the resin, making these brake pads a remarkable 40% more wear-resistant than the previous generation. This means you can cover significantly more kilometers with the same reliable braking power, ideal for intensive use on a road bike or gravel bike.

Because these pads are made of organic material, they are softer than metallic variants. This ensures excellent modulation and whisper-quiet braking performance, even in wet conditions. They engage directly and provide great feel in the brake lever, which is essential for technical turns or descents. The K05S-RX is specifically designed for 2-piston 'Flat Mount' calipers, which are standard on modern road bikes and gravel bikes (such as Dura-Ace, Ultegra, 105, and GRX).
