The Shimano SM-BB71 MTB Press Fit bottom bracket is the ideal choice for mountain bikers looking for a reliable and durable solution for their Hollowtech II crankset. This bottom bracket is specifically designed for frames with an 89.5/92 mm wide Press Fit shell. Thanks to high-quality seals, the bottom bracket is excellently resistant to mud, dust, and water, which is essential for intensive off-road use.
The installation of this bottom bracket ensures a stable connection and efficient power transfer. By using maintenance-free, sealed bearings, your crankset will spin smoothly under all conditions. Shimano focused on weight reduction without sacrificing stiffness during the development of the SM-BB71, making it a favorite for both XC racers and trail riders.
By choosing this original Shimano component, you are assured of a perfect fit and optimal performance from your drivetrain. The bearing cups are pressed directly into the frame, resulting in a clean look and less chance of play. It is a cost-effective upgrade or replacement that significantly extends the lifespan of your mountain bike.
