The Shimano XTR CN-M9100 chain is the ultimate chain for performance-oriented mountain bikers and the perfect match for the 12-speed XTR group. This 12-speed chain is essential for the operation of Shimano's groundbreaking Hyperglide+ system, which ensures unprecedentedly fast, smooth, and dynamic shifting in both directions, even under the most extreme racing conditions. The optimized asymmetric plate geometry of the CN-M9100 guarantees superior chain retention and faster engagement with the sprockets.
The XTR M9100 is designed to be extremely lightweight without compromising durability. This is achieved by using hollow pins (Hollow Pin) to save weight, combined with the high-quality SIL-TEC surface treatment. SIL-TEC is an ultra-low friction coating applied to the inner plates and rollers. This superior finish significantly extends lifespan, reduces noise levels, and ensures constant, efficient power transfer.
The Shimano XTR chain comes standard with 126 links, making it suitable for all 1x12 and 2x12 MTB setups. The chain comes with the Quick Link master link (SM-CN910-12), allowing for quick and easy assembly and disassembly. Like all Hyperglide+ chains, the CN-M9100 is directional and must be installed correctly to ensure the lightweight and smooth performance of the XTR group.
