The all-new Alpinist CL II takes your mountain performance to an even higher level with a carefully selected construction designed to allow riders to fully benefit from the low rim and spoke mass.
The Alpinist CL II uses the same rim as the Alpinist CLX II. They respond to even the smallest increase in power with instant acceleration and carve the cleanest lines in corners, yet they can also withstand almost double the impact standards of any certifying body. The result is a 1375-gram tubeless wheelset with unparalleled ride quality, designed for real road pressure.
The Alpinist CL II uses components made to make you ride fast. The DT Swiss 350 hubs, with their Star Ratchet drive system, are reliable and easy to maintain, while 24 DT Swiss CompRace Straightpull spokes front and rear, laced to the rims with their alloy Pro Lock nipples, are synonymous with reliability.
The reduced rolling resistance of a tubeless setup is undeniable, as are the benefits of improved handling and incredible puncture protection. It required the most extensive and demanding engineering and testing program we have ever undertaken. As a result of this thorough development, the Alpinist CL II features a hooked rim that can handle a huge pressure range up to 110psi and offers an easier setup and mounting experience than ever before.
